From February 17th – 20th, students in grades 11 and 12 from Mr. Walker’s Outdoor Education class had the opportunity to visit Camp Wanakita where the fall annual Wilderness North trip is held. Although participants weren’t able to sleep outside in their quinzhee’s (self-built huts made from snow) due to the harsh winter temperatures, the students kept busy. They were still able to enjoy snowshoeing, cross country skiing, and a campfire on the lake.
