Congratulations to Nick Tiensovan & Ernest Wong (Badminton), and Funmi Olomodosi (Girls Rugby) who are April’s Athletes of the Month!

Nick Tiensovan & Ernest Wong (Badminton)

After playing mostly singles and mixed, respectively, as juniors, Ernest and Nick joined forces this year to form a phenomenal doubles team. They went undefeated in winning the preseason tournament at CTK, and placed 2nd in the Richardson Division & Halton Finals. Demonstrating powerful smashes, quick reflexes, and terrific placement of shots, they have earned a berth at OFSAA by placing 2nd at GHAC. This is an outstanding achievement! Well done boys, and good luck at OFSAA Badminton this Thursday!

Funmi Olomodosi (Girls Rugby)

As a member of the girls’ rugby team, Funmi has scored 4 of their 6 tries, and had one called back. She has been an incredible team leader to her teammates who have never played before. Funmi gives 100% during practices and games, and we look forward to seeing her continued success as the season progresses. Congratulations Funmi!
