Milton District students, along with enthusiastic teachers Ms Krans and Mr. Newman, recently contributed to the community by helping out on a local Habitat for Humanity build site.
Over the course of two days, the twelve students helped brace framework, stack materials from new shipments, and put up two walls. There was a variety of experience levels – from comfortable to completely new to the situation – but the volunteers were patient and friendly, ensuring everyone could handle the tools with ease.
The work was rigorous, however the effort was worthwhile. The project will eventually be a semi-detached home for two very deserving Milton families.
