In late April, students from MDHS’ concert band, jazz band, funk band, and jazz combo had the wonderful opportunity to travel to Chicago. The band played for two schools, and enjoyed sights in the city such as Cloud Gate, Navy Pier and Shedd Aquarium (the largest indoor aquarium in the world). The group also enjoyed music performances from a university orchestra and Andy’s Jazz club. Watch out for next year when the music department travels to Prince Edward Island!
