Mathematics Contest Results for 2015

Mathematics at Milton D.H.S. is alive and well.  Students continued to be part of the Centre for Education in Mathematics contests designed for their respective grade levels. MD also participated in the Halton Mathematics Competition for the first time.   It is important to keep in mind that these are contests, not examinations.  The goal is to provide a stimulus for enrichment in mathematics with an emphasis on problem solving.  We congratulate this year’s grade winners and all the participants for their commitment and determination.  Well done MDHS mathletes!

A competition such as this is a personal thing and provides students with mathematical stimulation and enjoyment. Any student who has done serious preparation for the paper has improved his or her mathematical ability, and is therefore a champion.  We are proud of your achievements.  We hope you continue to better your skills by making the solving of problems a regular activity.  We hope you will continue to set goals, accept challenges and strive for academic excellence.  Good scores can help your admission score for some faculties at university.  “Be the best Mustang you can.”

Congratulations!
