I’m currently in my 4th year of nursing school at Queen’s University. I’m planning on specializing in emergency and trauma medicine.

My biggest piece of advice for current MDHS students is not to sweat about finding your calling in life, but just do what you’re passionate about and it will find you. I had no idea what I wanted to do until I was nearly done highschool, and it still took me 4 years of university to figure out my niche. Also, don’t be afraid to advocate for what you’re passionate about. Whether it’s human rights, the environment, sports, animal welfare, arts & literature, politics, or whatever, don’t let the fear of standing out keep you from standing up!

From Mark Saunders to Chris Hadfield, you might be surprised to learn who has come through MD, and where they are now!

Were YOU at MD? We welcome all updates to share here.  Please include your full name, years at MD, a photo, update, and any advice you can share with our current community here. Submit to gleesona@hdsb.ca.
