Parkdale Trip

On a Monday in late October, the students of Milton District in Writer’s Craft, Students Unite and the Social Justice SHSM visited Parkdale to experience and learn more about “The Dale”. The Dale Ministries is a church without its own walls that “seeks to be welcoming to all, while placing at the core people who often are not: those who are experiencing poverty both of spirit and space.”

The students sat down with some members of the community for a delicious lunch. It was a great way to learn about the stories of others and realize how similar we all actually are. The experience was simply wonderful and extremely gratifying. We were able to hear the talent of many on both the piano and guitar. A few students even joined in! If you wish to learn more about “The Dale”, you can visit them online at https://thedaleministries.wordpress.com/
