For the 5th year in a row, students from our school are entering the Speakers’ Idol Spirit of Hope Speech Competition.
Students can enter by writing a three minute speech about how to make the world better by learning from our lessons of the past and sending the speech to education@fswc.ca by March 4th. The top 10 contestants are selected to read their speeches and compete in front of a panel of judges for the title of “2016 Speakers’ Idol.” The prizes are: $700 for first place, $250 for second place and $100 for third place.
This is an amazing opportunity for students who like to do public speaking and even for students who want a chance to get better at public speaking. Good luck to everyone participating!
The contest takes place March 31 at the Sony Centre for Performing Arts.
Stay tuned for news about who makes the finals!
