During the third week of school, Milton District sent the grade 10 class to YMCA Wanakita in Haliburton for 4 days and 3 nights. The grade was joined with multiple staff members and a group of around 40 grade 12 leaders. The students participated in various activities, such as high ropes, canoeing, kayaking and fire building. The students were split into cabins and then participated in these activities with their brother and sister cabins allowing them to problem solve with people they are not familiar with. This program has been going on at MD for many years and has proven to be a very successful program in building the MD community. The following is a picture story of the trip, all images were taken by grade 12 leader Alex Siles.
