The other day, Mr. Hicks and I had a lovely time finding out that he is actually alive. We made our way down to the foyer where the Health SHSM students were doing tests on passing volunteers. A talented SHSM student of MD, Nicole Pantaleo, practiced many tests on Mr. Hicks.

First, he endured a tympanic thermometer stuck in his ear to check his body temperature. Then he got pulse and blood pressure checked with a stethoscope and a sphygmomanometer. Last, he got his oxygen saturation in his blood checked and everything turned out just fine.

Congratulations, Mr. Hicks, you are alive and kicking, for now. You’re a wonderful teacher, and even though you’re not a vampire, you still sparkle in our eyes.
