On Tuesday March 28, a group of students went to Burlington Performing Arts Centre to watch Kaha:wi Dance Theater perform a play called The Honouring. It was about the war of 1812 through the perspective of the Onkwehon:we people. The play featured dancing, singing and narration of the events that happened. Our students learned the hardships of battle the people faced and experienced their dances, language, and music; a wonderful learning experience for everyone who went. More information can be found on their facebook page Kaha:wi Dance Theater.
