Welcome back senior students, and welcome new students! Gender and Sexuality Alliance (GSA) is a group open to students in the LGBTQIA+ community and allies. We meet on alternating Mondays and Wednesdays after school (which will be on announcements) so come out (get it 🙂 and join us!

Seriously though, you can be anything at all to join – gay, straight, cis, trans*, ace and aro, whatever you are! We are a group of students of all ages and teachers who work to promote inclusivity and acceptance throughout our school.

In previous years we’ve attended the annual Halton Pride Dances and conferences offered all over Ontario. Last year we held our own Conference right here in the school for North Halton’s Elementary and High Schools. This year we are planning to remove stigma in sports and participate in Awareness Dates, which will be posted on a calendar on our new bulletin board outside of the Spec Ed office on the second floor. Dances and conferences are also something we are looking forward to this year. We even have a mascot for MDHS GSA, and have set up an Instagram account @GSAMDHS to help connect with students.
