There aren’t many things are better than curling up in a warm blanket and reading a good book by a Canadian author. Except when that author is you!
Polar Expressions Publishing is a Canadian-sourced publishing company that aims to inspire a love of writing in Canadians of all ages. This fall, they’re launching their twelfth annual national poetry and story contests for students in kindergarten to grade twelve. It’s free to submit an entry, and winners will have to opportunity to have their piece published in an anthology. First, second, and third place winners can earn a cash prize for themselves and their teacher, or even their school!
If you love writing, want to see yourself in print, or even try your hand at bringing honour to the school community, read the contest rules and submit an entry! The poetry contest deadline is November 15th, and the story contest ends on November 30th. Click here to visit their contest website (www.polarexpressions.ca) .
