A novel all about intersex people and the struggles they can (and most likely do) face in life. This is an amazing book that teaches what intersex is and how differently people can deal with it. Although fictitious, it holds truth in its pages about what intersex people go through internally, socially, and medically. It’s about fitting in, being yourself and trying to be happy doing so; it’s about family, friends, and community.

It is also Canadian, set in Labrador, and was selected as one of Canada Reads books in 2014. I stumbled across this book by chance in Indigo and fell in love when I wandered through the pages, listening to the story. I have so much love for this book and I hope you will find it as amazing as I do to learn about something that isn’t talked much about. It is a book worth its every page
