Milton District Mustangs senior girls basketball team came in fourth place in their home tournament at Milton District High School on October 20th, 2017. They dominated their first game of the tournament beating Aldershot High School. Having lost to them previously in their regular season game, this was a big win for the Mustangs and coach MacIntyre was very proud! Unfortunately, they suffered a close loss in their second game against Georgetown District High School. It was a very good game considering Georgetown is a strong team in first place in a higher tier.
This loss put the Mustangs in second place in their pool which took them out of the finals and instead went to the consolation game to see who placed third and fourth. They played Oakville Trafalgar High School in the consolation finals. By this time in the day they were very tired and unfortunately lost to OT. Even though the team lost the majority of their games, they took this it a great practice opportunity by trying out new defensive plays for the first time. Overall the girls played a great tournament and are ready to dominate in the playoffs.
