Tuesday October 31, 2017 was our annual fall sports recognition assembly. Above are pictures that capture how supportive the staff and students at Milton District are towards Mustangs athletics.
Our athletes this year did an amazing job throughout the season. Our cross country team had a huge turnout this year and were successful in every race. The senior girls team were able to clench a spot in OFSAA on the weekend of November 4, 2017 in Petawawa, Ontario. We wish them all the luck when they go and compete.
Our cross country team was not the only successful team though. The junior and senior girls basketball team and the senior boys volleyball team were all able to make it to the playoffs. Unfortunately, none of the teams made it to the finals. Despite this, coaches Mrs. Parker, Mr. MacIntyre and Mr. Fitzsimmons were very proud of how hard their players worked all season and how much they all improved.
Last but not least, there is the Junior boys volleyball and the golf team. The golf team had a really great turnout this year and they all did very well. The junior boys volleyball team was made up of of hard workers but unfortunately did not get the season that they hoped for.
Overall whether they worked as a team or independently, every athlete worked very hard and succeeded throughout the season. Staff is very proud of their student athletes and other students are very proud of their peers for their great performance. Go Mustangs!
