The Homework Club is an after school mentorship opportunity that is run by the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Halton. It is meant for students in elementary school to be mentored by high school students in many areas of their lives.
The students are able to receive help in academic fields, personal and social aspects, and their emotional state. Mentors help the students with any homework and a series of activities they can complete. Not only do the high school mentors form a bond with the younger students, they are able to receive over 40 hours of community help.
Although the Homework Club has already started, you can still send in applications to join. For more information, you can go to the Big Brothers Big Sisters office at the Milton Sports Center.
