DECA Pronvincials Competition

BY TUBA CHOUDHRY AND SAIHAJ REHSI

On February 8-10th the MDHS Deca team went to Toronto to Compete in the DECA provincials tournament. They brought home a team victory to internationals, and two top ten winners from a variety of areas. Our DECA team, comprised of over 30 dedicated members, put their blood, sweat, and tears into competing at not only regionals, but against all of Ontario at provincials. With multiple mock trials and tons of pizza, all of the DECA members were well prepared for the upcoming competitions.

“DECA was an amazing experience, and I made so many marvelous memories with all of my friends,” said Saihaj Rehsi, a grade 10 at MDHS. “I can’t wait to compete next year!” When asked about why he joined Deca, Massimo Stefanovic replied, “it was a time to be more than just a student, it was a time to be a delegate for something greater”.

Jasiya J. and Tushar A were two tenth graders who won medals at DECA provincials, both for their amazing skills in their oral competition. These two achieved this amazing goal, all while completing other work and participating in multiple clubs. Another grade 12 winning team made it to the internationals. Milton District High School is extremely proud of all the teams that competed. Way to go, Mustangs!
