Over the Family Day weekend, fourteen students and two amazing teachers went on a five day trip to Disney World in Orlando, Florida. The trip was a great success, and the only frowns were due to achy feet and minimal hours of sleep from the hours of Disney magic. Ms. Miller and Ms. Nuqui planned this trip out perfectly with a different Disney Park for each day of the trip, and an amazing stay at the Disney Pop Century Resort.
Three leadership programs were spread out over the trip and they were as fun as they were educational. They gave the students behind the scenes access to the Disney parks, a free FastPass for some of the rides and a whole lot of team bonding and fun! There were new friendships by the plane ride home, and maybe even some development for our senior Mustangs who will be off to start their post-secondary career in the near future.
This trip gave great experiences and greater memories for a highlight of these students’ high school lives, regardless of if they had or hadn’t been to Disney World before. A future Disney trip may be in the makings soon, so keep your ears open in future years.
