Canadian Waterloo Math Competitions

Congratulations to all the student who participated in the Canadian Waterloo Fryer, Galois, and Hypatia math competitions! The competition was held in the library on April 12th, during period 1 and 2.

These math contests were put on by the Center for Education in Mathematics and Computing. Grade 9s participated in the Fryer competition, grade 10s participated in the Galois competition, and the grade 11s participated in the Hypatia competition.

The math competitions consisted of 4 main math questions, which the students had to provide full solutions for in order to gain full marks. The students were given 75 minutes to finish as many of the questions as they could.

The students who participated in this competition has lots of fun, and look forward to receiving the results near the end of May.
