It centers around a normal girl named Harper Price who one day is granted superpowers. With these powers comes the mission to protect a boy in her class whom she absolutely despises. The book is equally funny and action-packed, and it’s a great read that’s sure to keep you entertained.
4. An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir. An Ember in the Ashes is practically the definition of a page-turner. Its fast-paced story and richly drawn characters will leave you wanting to spend the entire day reading. Based on Rome in ancient times, the story has a setting that’s both unique and totally enthralling. An Ember in the Ashes is definitely a must-read.
