  1. A Shadow Bright and Burning (Kingdom on Fire Trilogy) by Jessica Cluess. This exciting fantasy series is sure to grab your interest and hold it until you’ve turned the last page. A Shadow Bright and Burning follows sixteen-year-old Henrietta Howel as she fights in a war against monsters, all while keeping her true identity as an imposter a secret. It’s an extremely riveting read that will have no problem making your boredom disappear.
  2. A Million Junes by Emily Henry. Is fantasy not your thing? A Million Junes is a science fiction book that reads easily like a contemporary as well. It’s a retelling of Romeo and Juliet, but with a twist. A combination of romance and the mystery behind an age-old family feud makes this an awesome read.
  3. Rebel Belle by Rachel Hawkins. Rebel Belle is a book that will keep you on the edge of your seat throughout the entire story. It centers around a normal girl named Harper Price who one day is granted superpowers. With these powers comes the mission to protect a boy in her class whom she absolutely despises. The book is equally funny and action-packed, and it’s a great read that’s sure to keep you entertained.
  4. An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir. An Ember in the Ashes is practically the definition of a page-turner. Its fast-paced story and richly drawn characters will leave you wanting to spend the entire day reading. Based on Rome in ancient times, the story has a setting that’s both unique and totally enthralling. An Ember in the Ashes is definitely a must-read.
