From the 28th to the 30th of September the annual Ontario University Fair was held. During this time, students and their families gathered at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre to gain information about 21 Canadian universities and their programs.

The OUF is a great opportunity to learn about admission requirements and various programs—including ones that incorporate internships and co-ops. Career options, scholarships, lifestyle and financing were also discussed. The OUF began in 1997 and has improved and grown larger ever since. There is typically 100,000 attendees at the three-day event.

The 21 universities that are apart of this event are as listed:

  • Algoma University
  • Brock University

Each university has its own booth and representatives. Often times, you might even get the chance to talk to several professors from each university.

With free admission, info pamphlets, booklets and packages are distributed to those who want them. You can also sign up and get the OUF passport; whenever you get your passport scanned by a representative, you’ll get email or text updates about that university.

In 2019, the event will be held on the 27th of September to the 29th, and will be running from 10 am – 5 pm, daily.
