This year, National Coming Out Day falls on October 11th. The day commemorates coming out as gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and anything else that falls under the umbrella of the LGBTQ+ community. Everyone matters, no matter what their gender or sexual orientation is. Coming out is extremely difficult for most people, and it’s important to accept those who have decided that it’s time to be comfortable in their own skin. Everyone deserves to live openly and without the fear of being ridiculed for something they can’t change. Be caring and kind to anyone and everyone you know, because there’s no telling if they might be facing internal battles and your kindness can make their world a whole lot better.
