On December 3rd, the Health and Wellness Specialist High Skills Major (SHSM) class practiced their vital signs skills in the school’s front foyer.
The SHSM students took turns taking vital signs during four shifts between Period 3 and 4.
Students were able to walk up to a station and get their vital signs checked and assessed by SHSM students. They received back a slip of paper with their recorded temperature, pulse, respiration rate, and oxygen saturation (SpO2).
SHSM students have been learning all about vital signs in class and were happy to be able to test their skills with real patients!
