Student Government has just announced that Peer Tutoring will be coming to MD in the near future. They say it is a great opportunity to meet new people and help them “achieve academic success.”
In addition to earning volunteer hours and valuable tutoring experience, those who participate in the Peer Tutoring program will receive a tutoring certification which Student Government says can be used towards a post-secondary or job application.
To become a peer tutor, students are asked to fill out a Google Form asking them the days they are available after school, the subject they would like to tutor, their average in that class, and a teacher recommendation.
Student Government says that students of all grades can become a peer tutor and that no prior experience is necessary to apply.
Peer tutoring sessions will take place after school; subjects tutored will vary.
Students are asked to listen to the morning announcements and follow @miltonmustangs on Instagram for updates.
