MD’s Senior Semi-Formal took place on February 21, 2019, from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. It was a fun dance for Grade 11 and 12 students and took place at the Milton Banquet & Conference Center. Over 100 students came out to have a good time, and they were certainly not disappointed!
Tickets cost $25 and had to be purchased in advance. They were sold in the cafeteria by Student Government, giving students plenty of time to make plans with their friends.
The theme of the Semi-Formal was ‘A Night in Paris’. With a colour scheme of pink, gold, and black, every inch of the banquet hall was decorated with balloons, fairy lights, and ribbons.
A DJ duo was also present at the event along with a candy bar and photo booth. The photo booth was run by MD’s business teacher Mr. Riggs.
Although the dance didn’t start until 6:30 p.m., Student Government members had arrived at the banquet as early as 4:30 to help decorate the hall and ensure the DJ group was problem-free while setting up their equipment.
The night was full of dance, laughter, and good memories. Who knew MD has such talented dancers? Even the chaperoning teachers got into the groove.
Thank you to everyone who helped make this possible!
