On Wednesday, March 20th, our Grade 9 students crammed into the school Theatre to learn about a fun and exciting opportunity. Sign-ups for the MDHS Wilderness North trip are coming soon, promising everyone a memorable experience that will last a lifetime!
Wilderness North is a four-day outdoor adventure up north, sporting fun, team-building activities led by Grade 12 student leaders. From rock climbing to canoeing to learning various survival skills, students will get a positive taste of the outside world, making new friends and sharing these experiences with them along the way.
Throughout the presentation, a few Grade 10, 11 and 12 students shared exciting memories of their past Wilderness North experiences. They pointed out that the memories they made on their own trips have stuck with them throughout their entire high school careers and encouraged other students to sign up.
The trip costs $410 per student, and provides cabins to sleep in, fully functional bathrooms/showers, and delicious meals to enlighten your experience. To sign up for this amazing opportunity, a form will be sent home with students to be filled out.
Don’t miss out on all the fun; we hope to see you there!
