The second golf tournament of the season had MD’s golf team leave bright and early for Hidden Lake Golf Course the morning of September 17.
To qualify for the tournament, the team members had to shoot 105 or less at a previous tournament. Members of the golf team include Mitchell Enns, Cam Foster, Gabe Tovell, Jackson Tovell, and Jack Turner, all of whom have over five years of experience in the sport.
At the tournament, there was a great bond between the members as Enns and Turner are veterans and mentored the younger members. There was also a fun sibling rivalry between Gabe and Jackson Tovell who shot 92 and 93, respectively. The best shot belonged to Cam Foster with 87.
“It was a good experience, the past couple of years the members have gained more experience and become more confident,” Mr. Douglas said. “It was a great day, all of the members played really well.”
Out of the 14 teams at the tournament, MD placed a respectable 7th with a total of 272. The team had a great time and looks forward to continue doing their best in all future games.
