What happened at the Ontario Universities’ Fair?

This past weekend, the 2019 Ontario Universities Fair was held at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre in Downtown Toronto. From September 27–30, the fair hosted displays from a variety of universities, including McMaster, York, U of T, Laurier, and Waterloo. Gates opened up at 10:00 a.m. and the fair ran each day until 5:00 p.m.

Many twelfth grade students from MD attended the fair, finding the presentations and booths highly useful in terms of learning more about their prospective universities.

Students were also able to sign up for the Ontario Universities’ Fair Passport which allowed students to simply scan a barcode and be added to university mailing lists.

Pamphlets and books were also offered to assist students in looking over admission processes and programs available at the different universities.

MD will be hosting its own University/College fair on November 7th, 2019, so be sure to check it out if you couldn’t make it to the Ontario Universities’ Fair!
