Starting this week, the Construction SHSM students here at MD have partnered with Habitat for Humanity to build tiny houses.
Although their purpose has not been finalized, the homes will be used as a promotion, in fundraising, and there is a chance that they may even end up on a Canadian reserve.
Two homes are being built and students in the Electrical OYAP at Bishop Reding will be doing the electrical in them.
The tiny house movement will also be used to show how it is possible to live with far less than we think we need and how we can have a minimalistic approach in a consumer-driven world.
