October 17 was a busy day for Milton District High School. From 4:00 – 5:00 p.m., the annual Honours Celebration was held, congratulating students who achieved an overall average of 80% or higher. The same evening, the Parent-Teacher Meet and Greet started at 6:30 pm.
Teachers were stationed alphabetically by last name in the Cafeteria, Large Gym, and Library. Parents and students were invited to come and meet their teachers casually, meaning no formal, pre-scheduled, sit-down interviews were planned. This way, all parents had a chance to put a face to their child’s teachers.
There were also displays set up in the front hallway by the English Department, the Parent Council, the Music Department, The Mustang Messenger, and more. This allowed parents to explore some of the interesting courses and extracurricular activities that students are taking part in at Milton District.
It was a wonderful night for parents to gain insight on their child’s lives at MD.
