Upcoming Grade 12 Info Day

Hey MD!

With the start of the new semester, grade 12 students are starting to become serious about finalizing their future plans and programs for post-secondary. This year, we have something new to help ease the nerves of grade 12’s who feel anxious or have questions about their future paths.

On Thursday, February 20, all of the grade 12 students will participate in an Information Day where students will rotate between information sessions during periods 1, 2, and 3. All of the grade 12’s will have a common period 4 lunch, so you will be able to meet with your friends for a full regular period. Then period 5, students will continue classes as normal.

The information workshops will include:

  • Dr. Deanna Behnke-Cook from Guelph University. She teaches first-year Sociology and will be discussing the transition from grade 12 to post-secondary.
  • Past Grad Panel. There will be recent MD Graduates, in a variety of different fields, visiting to share their experiences.
  • School Social Worker, Public Health Speaker, and MDHS teachers will also be sharing tips and tricks on how to take care of yourself and your finances as a post-secondary student.
