For the senior students of Milton District High School, February 20, 2020, was a night to remember. The Triple 20 Senior Semi-Formal Dance, hosted by Student Government, was a blast that nobody will soon forget.
Tickets had been on sale from February 11 onwards during Periods 2, 3, and 4. They were also available on Cashless. With a low cost of $25 (the lowest in the past 3 years!), it provided for a fancy banquet hall, rolled ice cream, a photo booth, snacks, and music from a professional DJ.
Throughout the day of the event, members of the Student Government could be seen running around the Milton Bible Church, formerly known as Teatro Conference Center, decorating and setting the night up.
At 6:30 p.m., guests started to pile in. They were met by the registration table, which was run by Grade 9 and 10 Student Government representatives.
The music, provided by DJ Alkhemist, started the night off with confetti and balloons, hyping students up for a night to remember. There was a photobooth service provided by Mango Tree Studios where photos could be printed received through email. The rolled ice cream was provided in three flavours including vanilla, mango explosion, and oreo cheesecake, with a variety of toppings. To keep everyone fueled up for the party, brownies and chips were provided by Student Government.
The dance ended with a dance battle between the “ladies and the gentlemen”, which the ladies won by a long shot! The night was a huge success that will definitely leave the people who attended with fond memories they’ll never forget!
