As many of you know, the HDSB Student Trustee Elections are coming up again, and this year is even more competitive than before!

Here’s some background knowledge:

• Student Trustees are elected students that represent the voices of over 64 000 elementary and secondary school students and have a seat in board meetings.
• Each year, two students are chosen to be the HDSB Student Trustees. Students in Grades 7-12 in the Halton District School Board will have 2 votes for who they would like to see as their next Student Trustees.

This year, Milton District is proud to present three candidates: Kacy Bao, Amber Siddiqui and Evan Taylor.

Election Day is on February 25 and although the voting period has not yet been finalized, please actively check your emails from 6-9 pm as this will be the only time you can vote! All eligible voters will be sent an email from noreply@hdsb.ca with further information and a link to vote online during this time.

You can attend the election held at the J.W. Singleton Education Centre (2050 Guelph Line, Burlington) or you can watch the candidate’s speeches live streamed on the HDSB Youtube channel. Mark your calendars and get ready to vote!
