Friday, March 6th is International Women’s Day. The Milton chapter of the Canadian Federation of University Women will once again be celebrating with the March on Main, beginning at Town Hall and ending at the Milton Mall.

Similar to last year, the Social Justice SHSM students will be participating. They will be speaking at Town Hall, along with Milton’s other three high schools, and are currently painting and organizing signs for the event. They will be dropping off permission forms to Period 2 classes for any students who would be interested in attending the march. Students are asked to have their permission form signed and pay $2 to attend. That money will then be used to purchase needed items for Halton Women’s Place.

All attendees will be back at the school by 11:30AM, however, if students are unable to miss their Period 3 class, they could always consider only doing part of the March, and then returning to the school.
