Are you struggling to keep up with one of your courses and your grades are not where you would like them to be? In that case, peer tutoring at MD would be a great option for you.
What is Peer Tutoring?
Peer tutoring is an opportunity for students at MDHS to receive extra help/support in more difficult subjects, from students in their grade or in older grades who have already taken the course. Peer tutoring is also an opportunity for students who are confident in a certain course to help their peers and gain volunteer hours.
How does it work?
Those interested in being tutored will be paired with a student that has already completed the course. This year, due to the pandemic, peer tutoring sessions will be conducted online. Students interested in being tutored can choose between Monday afternoon sessions from 6:00 – 7:00 pm or Thursday lunch sessions.
Where to Sign Up?
If you are interested in being tutored you can send an email with your grade and the subject you need help with to Mme. Baird (bairdmi@hdsb.ca ) or fill out the google form.
If you are interested in being a tutor you can also fill out the google form or email Mme. Baird with your grade and the subject you would like to tutor.
