Mustangs Gallop on to Success at GHAC!

By: Eleena Sen

On Wednesday, October 27th, the Milton Mustangs participated in their first Cross Country meet of the season! It was a nice sunny day at Hilton Falls for the runners. The Grade 9 and 10 students raced on Wednesday, while the Grade 11 and 12 students ran on Thursday.

To start off the meet, the Novice Girls Team ran their 4k race and did an amazing job to secure second place in Halton and fourth place overall!

Congrats to Evan Taylor for grabbing the BIG win in the Senior Boys’ 6km race the next day. He crushed the 6km with an award-winning time of 20:32 seconds.

He is now heading to compete in OFSAA on Saturday, November 6th, so we wish him luck!

Adding on to the achievements, two more senior Mustangs have had really successful races, with Denver Packalan in 9th place in the Senior Boys’ race, and Jillian Bennet achieving 11th place in the Senior Girls’ race. MD is very proud!

The Senior Boys team also managed to achieve 2nd place in Halton. What an amazing event for our Mustangs!
