Gender Sexuality Alliance is a club at Milton District High School that unites and supports the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. They provide a safe and inclusive space for 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals and allies to gather and socialize, as well as educate and advocate.
Meetings are every Thursday at lunch and everyone is welcome to participate!
GSA is a space where you can meet like-minded people who are committed to supporting and advocating for 2SLGBTQIA+ youth. The first ever GSA club was established in 1988 in Concord, Massachusetts, at Concord Academy by Kevin Jennings.
The purpose of GSA is to raise awareness about issues regarding the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, and to create a safe space for all. GSA is designed to help the MD community feel welcome, included and accepted.
“The cause is the main reason I wanted to join, but I’ve also come to love the people in the club. They’re all very inclusive and just overall fun to be around,” says GSA member Zoya Siddiqui.
At the recent senior football event, the GSA had its own stand where popcorn and hot chocolate was sold to raise money for the Positive Space Network, an Oakville based organization and a safe space for the 2SLGBTQIA+ community.
GSA is a wonderful club at Milton District High School, and we hope to see you there soon!
